Using POP with Gmail - Accessing from multiple devices/clients
Office Genuine Advantage Notification Uninstaller
Click on above link "Office Genuine Advantage Notification Uninstaller" (the file is called OGANotifier.msi)
- Save the file to your desktop (in Mozilla Firefox this is the default location for downloads, but if your browser is downloading automatically, Firefox may be putting them in your My Documents folder, under Downloads)
- Go to your Desktop (or wherever you saved) and locate the file OGANotifier.msi (in one of the locations in Step 1). Right Click on the file, and left click “uninstall”
- Wait for the brief uninstall procedure to finish (should only take 15 - 30 seconds tops)
- Restart PC.
NOTE: In the future, if “Office Genuine Advantage” comes in a list of automatic updates (click on gold automatic update shield in lower right corner, and choose “custom”), deselect Office Genuine Advantage, and choose "never show this update". This is a one-time deal.
NOTE: If Windows Update or Microsoft Update is run manually, from their website, choose “custom install” from the main update screen. When Office Genuine Advantage Notifications shows in the list of critical updates, deselect it, and click on the box below the update choice, that says “never show me this update” or “hide this update”. This is a one-time deal.
NOTE: The above uninstall method should only be used if you have been receiving messages about "this copy of office is not legitimate". If Office Genuine Advantage is not currently installed, this utility could potentially install it instead. If you follow the above instructions, the install command will never come up)
